FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR WOMEN AFFECTED BY GYNECOLOGICAL CANCERS WHO ARE BASED IN EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA 

We provide financial assistance to women who are surviving with ovarian and other gynecological cancers at any stage in their diagnosis and treatment plan, in every way we possibly can. We will begin providing this financial support in Q4 2020.

 

We will immediately accomplish this goal by leaning into our fundraising ventures, primarily supported by the annual MaryLynn Hardesty Teal Hearts 5K/10K, to provide financial aid when insurance issues and personal income limitations overwhelm the women we support. We hope to gain an extended network of supporters to provide items such as toiletry items, food items, and non-pharmacological comfort items to help manage treatment-related toxicities.

 

Our financial assistance program includes, but isn’t limited to, providing support for:

• hospital and medical bills

• other medical expenses and supplies not covered by insurance plans

• transportation costs to get patients to appointments and treatments

• rental subsidy, utility bills, or other housing-related costs

• other by request
